Of course an evening view such as this is not complete without some Italian music to set the ambiance. Please press play and enjoy ‘O Sole Mio’ courtesy of Tuscan Trio while reading through the synopsis and review for this great little five hearts treasure. ❤💚❤💚❤
Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.
Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…
Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?
Thinking of a trip to Italy, perhaps you’re about to begin your vacation and looking for that perfect read to accompany you? Or are you looking for a heart warming story to provide a little escapism from everyday life? Then look no further, this little gem is it!!
Roman Crazy is a wonderful read about life’s second chances. With a dreamy Italian man (whose name rolls off the tongue like caramel chocolate) and a burning desire to rekindle an artistic flare, Avery soon finds herself faced with two of them.
Marcello is the gorgeous Italian man from Avery’s past and he is passionate with a capital (P). Couple this with Avery’s own passionate nature and the connection is dynamite. Both Avery and her friend Daisy are sassy chicks, which leads to some fabulous quips within their dialogue and many great giggles along the way.
This page-turner is hard to put down, with the wonderful descriptions of sights and scenery as well as the incredibly delicious food mentioned throughout; you’ll soon be transported to Rome and living this adventure alongside Avery.
Congratulations to Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci, this is a most enjoyable read, I award it five heart warming stars and highly recommend it.
I’m looking forward to what’s ahead for our broads abroad!
